My MIL's Surprise 60th Party

This weekend was great! It started out by prepping for the big event on Saturday! We hosted the party at the Little Red School House. Thank goodness we were able to set up on Friday night because we had torrential down pours on Saturday.  The balloons came on Saturday.  We decided to host the party a month early to help throw her off that it would be for her! I think it worked :)

She's surprised, had no clue!
My MIL, thought it was a party for her oldest daughter's MIL & AIL, she had Connor all day in the morning. She was really helping us out for her party! So Chrissy left to go get her mom at 2:15 and she wasn't even dressed and ready to go. We were expecting her at 2:30! So after she got ready they were headed over to the LRSH, that is about five minutes from her home. They arrived and walked in, she had Connor in her arms, he was a little frightened when everyone yelled surprise! It took a minute for her to realize the party was for her!

Brian's mom plays tennis a few nights a week in a women's league. That is how we got the idea for the cake! We had Hershey Chocolate bars as favors that were wrapped and said, "Swinging into Sixty."
The awesome cake, Aunt Sharon's friend made.

It was so tasty too!

Even though it rained all day, it was nice and warm and dry inside. We had wonderful fun and fellowship with all!
